A Call To Give Fullness Of Praise To God’s Name

As we look forward to our anniversary this Saturday, how should we worship God? Let’s give Him nothing less than fullness of praise. The Psalmist made a call for all servants of God to give glory due to His name.

“Praise, O servants of the Lord,
Praise the name of the Lord!

Blessed be the name of the Lord

From this time forth and forevermore!

From the rising of the sun to its going down

The Lord’s name is to be praised.”

Psalm 113:1-3

We are meant to lift up the name of the Lord till time ceases. We are meant to praise His name throughout the day. From dawn to dusk, our challenge is to give glory to the Lord’s incomparable and supreme name. This Saturday, let’s start praising the Lord’s name in the morning till we worship Him in the evening. Let’s give God fullness of praise to His name.

Reflecting On The Glory Of The Lord

“The Lord is high above all nations,
His glory above the heavens.
Who is like the Lord our God,

Who dwells on high”

Psalm 113:4-5

It is good for us to take time to reflect on who God is. Sometimes, we do not take the time to reflect and review what we have learned about God. Our worship of God is not enhanced because of this. Why should we give the Lord fullness of praise? It is because He is a glorious and sovereign God. The Lord is so lofty and awesome that He is exalted above all nations. His glory cannot be measured. He dwells in the heavens. Truly, there is no other God like our God. Our hearts should be full as we reflect on the Lord’s greatness and His glory.

Appreciating The Lord For Being Involved In Bethany

“Who humbles Himself to behold
The things that are in the heavens and in the earth?”

Psalm 113:6

Even though God is so lofty, yet He is not an impersonal God as some might think. The Lord is willing to humble Himself to be involved in our lives. He is concerned about the poor and the needy. He seeks to be involved in their lives by raising them up and blessing them. He is concerned about the barren woman and her happiness. Let’s truly appreciate the glory of God seen when He humbles Himself to be involved in our ordinary lives even though He is such a great and almighty being. I have seen how the Lord has been involved in the ministries at Bethany. We were only a small Church when we first started. Yet, the Lord showed concern for us and raised us up from nothing. Bethany is what it is today because we have a glorious and merciful God who cared enough to bless us. Let’s appreciate what the Lord has done for us.

Our natural and heartfelt response to God:

“Praise the Lord!”
Psalm 113:9
