A Call To Praise The Lord Together

When we see the Lord’s blessing in our lives, our proper response should be to praise Him. There must come an inner desire to do more than just say a simple “Thank you” to God. The Psalmist in the text of Psalm 34 made a call for all to exalt the Lord together. Praise should not just be an individual thing. It should be a corporate endeavour.

“O magnify the Lord with me,
And let us exalt His name together.”

Psalm 34:3

David rallied all to magnify the Lord with him. Praising God as His people should involve a great sense of togetherness. Let’s seek to come together in lifting up His name. This Friday, we will be having our Youth Praise Night. Let’s come and exalt His name as one.

The Mutual Experience Of The Lord’s Goodness

The mutual experience of God’s goodness on our lives helps us praise Him together.

1. The Lord’s Answering The Prayers Of Many

“I sought the Lord, and he heard me,
And delivered me from all my fears.
They looked to Him and were radiant,
And their faces were not ashamed.
This poor man cried out, and the Lord heard him,
And saved him out of all his troubles.”

Psalm 34:4-6

The psalmist was not the only one who had experienced the Lord answering his prayer. There were others who turned to the Lord and their faces were radiant because He was there for them. The psalmist also mentioned about a poor man crying out to the Lord for help and He heard him. All of them had the same experience of God hearing their prayers

2. The Lord’s Special Protection Of His People

“The angel of the Lord encamps all around those who fear Him,
And delivers them.”

Psalm 34:7

There was also the special protection that comes from angels watching over them. David saw how the Lord specially protected him from his enemies. The angel of the Lord surrounds His people and delivers them from harm. Truly, we too can magnify the Lord together for His hand of protection in our lives.

Sharing With Others About The Lord’s Goodness

“Oh taste and see that the Lord is good;
Blessed is the man who trusts in Him.”

Psalm 34:8

The Psalmist also made a call for others to come and taste that the Lord is truly good and gracious. He is a great God who hears and answers prayer. We would be specially blessed when we trust in Him. Young people, let’s seek the Lord and truly experience that He is indeed good to us. You too can come and magnify the Lord with us. Let’s taste and discover that He is indeed a wonderful and loving God. Let’s learn to trust in Him with all our heart. His blessings would be upon all that we do.
