Celebrating The Abundant Life That Jesus Came To Give Us

Last Sunday, Pastor Charles spoke at the Morning Worship Service about the gift of life. When Christ came to this earth, He came to give us eternal life. This life is not only free but profound in its ramifications. Not only will we have everlasting life in heaven, he also came to give us abundant life. This life does not begin only when we die. It begins now with Christ as our Saviour and Lord. It is meant to be a life that is purposeful, meaningful and joyous. In other words, it is meant to be full and rich.

“I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.”
John 10:10

When we have this salvation in the Lord Jesus, we can truly enjoy life. We will experience life abundantly. This Christmas, let’s seek to celebrate the life that Christ came to give us.

Looking Forward To An Exciting Week Of Celebrating Life In Christ At Christmas

Young people, there is much to look forward to this week.

1. Christmas Concerts

On the 22nd and 23rd December at 8 pm, we would be having our Christmas concerts. The theme of this concert is “The Perfect Present”. What is Christmas all about? It is about celebrating the gift of Christ and the life that He gives. One way to celebrate life is through singing. When we have experienced this life that Christ gives, we will find it truly priceless. We cannot help but sing about it. Let’s take the time to ask our friends to come and listen. Let’s pray that they too can hear about this life in Christ and embrace it.

2. YPG-YAG Combined Christmas Party 2005

The YPG and YAG are also organising a special Christmas party this Saturday, 24 December at 3:00 pm. It is going to be a time of singing and celebrating the joy of Christmas. Please bring along a present worth $5 or more for a present exchange. Let’s learn to give to others. Let’s come together for a time of rejoicing together over Christmas. All of you are invited.

3. Christmas Day Celebration

Lastly, the main event is the Christmas day worship service and lunch at the Shangri-La. Let’s come together to worship the Lord on His birthday. When we truly understand the abundant life that Christ has given us, no amount of worshipping God is enough. There is so much we can celebrate about. If you want to come and you have not signed up yet, please let me know. We will be more than happy to count you in. Let’s seek to enjoy the life that Christ has given us this Christmas and always.

HAVE A GOD BLESSED AND JOYOUS CHRISTMAS!
