Maundy Thursday 2019: An Everlasting Salvation

Text: Isaiah 45:15-19

A GOD WHO HIDES HIMSELF

“Truly You are a God who hides Himself”   Isaiah 45:15a

1. If He does not reveal Himself

2. If He withdraws Himself

3. If He does not relate

4. If He does not bless

5. If He does not lead

6. If He does not grant grace and mercy

OMINOUS CONSEQUENCES

1. They shall be ashamed   (Isaiah 45:16a)

2. And disgraced   (Isaiah 45:16b)

3. Confused   (Isaiah 45:16c)

A GOD WHO REVEALS HIMSELF

1. The God of Israel   (Isaiah 45:15b)

2. The Saviour   (Isaiah 45:15c)

A GOD WHO RELATES TO HIS PEOPLE

1. By giving Salvation

Israel shall be saved by the LORD   (Isaiah 45:17a)

2. By giving Everlasting salvation

With an everlasting salvation   (Isaiah 45:17b)

3. By making sure His people

Would never ashamed or disgraced forever and ever   (Isaiah 45:17c)

APPROPRIATE RESPONSES

1. Look up to God

Look to Me   (Isaiah 45:22)

2. Seek salvation

Be saved   (Isaiah 45:22)

3. Discover strength

Surely in the LORD I have righteousness and strength   (Isaiah 45:24)

4. Be justified and glory in the LORD

All shall be justified and shall glory   (Isaiah 45:25)
