BLESSINGS RESULTING FROM TRUST IN GOD

1. Heartfelt Prayers

a) Presence of God desired
“Be not far from Me”   (Psalm 22:11a)
“But You, O LORD, do not be far from Me”   (Psalm 22:19a)
b) Help
“O My Strength, hasten to help Me”   (Psalm 22:19b)
c) Deliverance
i. “Deliver Me from the sword”   (Psalm 22:20a)
ii. “My precious life from the power of the dog”   (Psalm 22:20b)
iii. “Save Me from the lion’s mouth”   (Psalm 22:21a)
iv. “And from the strength of the wild ox”   (Psalm 22:21b)
d) Thanksgiving
“You have answered Me”   (Psalm 22:21c)

2. Appropriate Responses

a) Declaration
“I will declare Your name to My brethren”   (Psalm 22:22a)
b) Praise
“In the midst of the assembly, I will praise You”   (Psalm 22:22b)
c) Exhortation to praise God
“You who fear the LORD, praise Him”   (Psalm 22:23a)
d) Exhortation to glorify God
“All you descendants of Jacob, glorify Him”   (Psalm 22:23b)
