The Children of Israel

THE CHILDREN OF ISRAEL

1. They wept when they heard the report of the 10 spies   (Numbers 14:1)

2. They complained against Moses and Aaron   (Numbers 14:2)

a) If only we had died in the land of Egypt   (Numbers 14:2)
b) Or if only we had died in this wilderness   (Numbers 14:2)
c) Why has the LORD brought us to this land to fall by the sword?   (Numbers 14:3)
d) That our children should become victims?   (Numbers 14:3)

3. Threat

Let us select a leader and return to Egypt    (Numbers 14:4)

RESPONSE OF MOSES AND AARON

They fell on their faces before the all the assembly   (Numbers 14:5)

RESPONSE OF JOSHUA AND CALEB

1. They tore their clothes   (Numbers 14:6)

2. The land is an exceedingly good land   (Numbers 14:7)

3. If the LORD delights in us, then He will bring us Into this land and give it to us   (Numbers 14:8)

4. Do not rebel against the LORD   (Numbers 14:9)

5. Nor fear the peole of the land   (Numbers 14:9)

6. They are our bread   (Numbers 14:9)

7. Their protection has departed from them   (Numbers 14:9)

8. The LORD is with us   (Numbers 14:9)

9. Do not fear them   (Numbers 14:9)

FURTHER RESPONSE FROM THE CHILDREN OF ISRAEL

They wanted to stone Joshua and Caleb   (Numbers 14:10)

THE MANIFESTATION OF THE LORD

1. The Lord had to make a special appearance

2. He came in His glory   (Numbers 14:10)

3. At the Tabernacle of Meeting   (Numbers 14:10)
