REVIEWING WHAT THE LORD HAD DONE FOR HIS PEOPLE

1. Success: The conquest of powerful kings

a) Sihon king of the Amorites   (Deuteronomy 1:4; 2:26-37)
b) Og king of Bashan   (Deuteronomy 1:4; 3:1-11)

2. Failure: Refusal to enter Canaan

a) Fear of Canaanites   (Deuteronomy 1:26)
b) Judgment: 40 years in the wilderness   (Deuteronomy 1:34-46)

1. To hear God’s word   (Deuteronomy 4:10)
