THE PERSPECTIVE OF THE LORD’S FULLNESS FILLING ALL IN ALL

“Which is His body, the fullness of Him who fills all in all.”   Ephesians 1:23

1. The Church is meant to be filled with the fullness of Christ

2. The promise of the fullness of the Lord’s blessings   (Ephesians 1:3-14)

a) Fullness of salvation
b) Fullness of His grace
c) Fullness of purpose
d) Fullness of wisdom and prudence
e) Fullness of His inheritance
f) Fullness of assurance through His Spirit

3. The plan for the Lord’s fullness to fill all in all

a) Every Christian
b) Every ministry

PRAYING FOR THE FULLNESS OF THE LORD TO ACTUALLY FILL ALL IN ALL   (Ephesians 1:15-19)

1. What we should pray

a) To be given the Spirit of wisdom and revelation   (Cf. 1 Corinthians 2:6-16)
i) In the knowledge of Him
ii) Eyes of our heart being enlightened
b) To gain fullness of knowledge
i) The hope of His calling
ii) The riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints
iii) The greatness of His power
c) To experience the surpassing greatness of His power

2. How should we pray

a) With love
b) With commitment
c) With faith
d) With humility
