1. A threat to the church at Colosse
2. This threat came about because of false teachings
3. False teachings can severely threaten the Oneness in the church
THE THREAT SPELT OUT
1. It attacked the Person of Christ
2. It attacked the Work of Christ
3. It attacked the salvation we have in Christ
THE DANGERS POSED
1. The Church as a whole may be affected adversely
a) Growth of the Church
b) Potential of the Church
c) Ministry of the Church
2. The unity in the church may affected adversely
a) Fellowship may be affected
b) Friendships may be affected
c) Faith may be affected
d) Fruitfulness may be affected

1. Christ as the Head of the church
2. The Body of Christ
a) Nourished
b) Knit together
i) Joints
ii) Ligaments
3. Growth of the Church
a) It is capable of growth
b) Increase comes from the Lord

1. Guard against false teachings
2. Protect the church
3. Promote oneness
4. Seek further growth
