THE GIFT OF JOY

“Then it shall be to Me a name of joy, a praise, and an honour before all the nations of the earth” Jeremiah 33:9

1. A promise from the Lord

2. This joy will come as the Lord blesses His people

a) Personal joy
b) Family joy
c) Community joy
d) National joy

THE THINGS THAT ROB PEOPLE OF JOY

“But they had no child, because Elizabeth was barren, and they were both advanced in years.”   Luke 1:7

1. The absence of children for Zacharias and Elizabeth

2. This can be heightened when society gripes at barrenness

THE HOPE OF JOY

“And you will have joy and gladness, and many will rejoice at his birth”   Luke 1:14

1. Joy has a rippling effect

2. It can spread to others

THE SEARCH FOR JOY TODAY

1. Many search for joy

2. But to many, this joy seems elusive

3. Searching for joy in the wrong places

FINDING JOY IN THE LORD

“Therefore with joy you will draw water
From the wells of salvation.”   Isaiah 12:3

1. Joy from the salvation of the Lord

2. Drawing much joy from the wells of salvation

3. The wells of salvation are characterized:

a) Deep and Pure
b) Fresh and refreshing
c) Life and joyfulness
