STRUGGLES WITH BELIEVING IN GOD’S PROMISES

1. The Land of Canaan

a) How real was this to Abraham?
b) No mention of any struggle with this Promise
c) This does not mean that there was great faith in existence

2. The Promise of an Heir

a) Abraham struggled with this
b) Sarah struggled with this too

3. The Struggle with Unbelief

a) A struggle that may come with old age
After I have grown old, shall I have this pleasure
My lord being old also?   Genesis 18:12
b) A struggle that may come because we are confined by “common sense”
c) A struggle that appears in derision of God’s word

GOD’S ANSWER IN A QUESTION
“Is there anything too hard for the LORD?” Genesis 18:14

1. To confront ourselves candidly
