For Israel My Glory

ISRAEL’S IDOLATROUS WORSHIP
1. Many deities were worshipped
2. Israel refused to return to God despite the preaching of numerous prophets
THE DEITIES ISRAEL WORSHIPPED
1. Marduk was addressed as “Bel” (Lord)
2. Nebo was his son
3. Both deities were carried away into captivity (Isaiah 46:1-2)
4. These were man-made idols (Isaiah 46:5-7)
GOD’S REDEMPTION OF ISRAEL
1. He will bring near His salvation (Isaiah 46:13)
2. He will redeem even the most stubborn of sinners (Isaiah 46:12-13)
3. Only a remnant is left (Isaiah 46:3)
PRECIOUS RELATIONSHIP RESTORED
1. Upheld from birth
2. Carried from the womb
3. Deliverance- Even to old age and gravy hairs (Isaiah 46:3-4)
THE REDEMPTIVE TRAIL
1. Remember the past acts of God
a) Recall to mind
b) Remember the former things (Isaiah 46:8-9)
2. Remembering the Power of God and His Word
a) My counsel shall stand
I will do all My pleasure
b) Indeed I have spoken it
I will also bring it to pass
c) I have purposed it
I will also do it (Isaiah 43:11)
ISRAEL- THE GLORY OF GOD
1. The glory of God’s redemption will be reflected
2. The glory of God’s power will be seen in His works
