1. Chosen to have a relationship with God as His people

a) Chosen to be “a holy people” to the Lord   (Deuteronomy 7:6)
b) Chosen to be “a people for Himself”   (Deuteronomy 7:6)

2. Chosen to have a close relationship

a) Chosen to be “a special treasure”   (Deuteronomy 7:6)
b) Chosen “above all the peoples on the earth”   (Deuteronomy 7:6)

3. Chosen because of love   (Deuteronomy 7:6)

a) Loved not because they were more numerous   (Deuteronomy 7:7)
