UNDERSTANDING OF THE WORD “EXALTATION”

1. Bringing down the haughtiness of men   (Isaiah 2)

a) The loftiness of man shall be humbled   (Isaiah 2:11a)
The loftiness of man shall be bowed down   (Isaiah 2:17a)
b) The haughtiness of men shall be brought low   (Isaiah 2:11b, 17b)

2. Exaltation of the LORD   (Isaiah 2)

a) The LORD alone shall be exalted   (Isaiah 2:11c, 17c)
b) The terror of the LORD   (Isaiah 2:10b, 19b, 21b)
c) The glory of His majesty   (Isaiah 2:10c, 19c, 21c)

THE EXALTATION OF THE MESSIAH

1. Behold, My Servant shall deal prudently   (Isaiah 52:13a)

2. He shall be exalted and extolled and be very high   (Isaiah 52:13b)

THE SUFFERING OF THE MESSIAH

1. His visage was marred more than any man   (Isaiah 52:14b)

2. And His form more than the sons of man   (Isaiah 52:14c)

THE EFFECTS OF HIS SUFFERING

1. So shall He sprinkle many nations   (Isaiah 52:15a)

2. Kings shall shut their mouths at Him  (Isaiah 52:15b)

3. What they had not been told them they shall see   (Isaiah 52:15c)

4. And what they had not heard they shall consider   (Isaiah 52:15d)
