Our Salvation in the Time of Trouble

4th Sunday of Advent

IN THE TIME OF TROUBLE

1. Plunder   (Isaiah 33:1, 4)

2. Treachery   (Isaiah 33:1)

3. Tumult   (Isaiah 33:3)

4. The earth mourns   (Isaiah 33:9)

5. The earth languishes   (Isaiah 33:9)

A NECESSARY HEARTFELT PRAYER

1. A cry to the LORD   (Isaiah 33:2)

2.Pleading His graciousness   (Isaiah 33:2)

3. Pleading in patience

We have waited for You   (Isaiah 33:2)

4. Pleading His arm of strength   (Isaiah 33:2)

5. Pleading for salvation   (Isaiah 33:2)

FAITH IS NEEDED

1. That God will respond

2. He will lift Himself up against the enemy   (Isaiah 33:3)

3. The Lord will deliver Zion and establish it   (Isaiah 33:5-6)

a) He is exalted and dwells on high
b) He will fill Zion with justice
And righteousness
c) He will give wisdom and knowledge
d) He will give strength of salvation
e) The fear of the Lord (His treasure) will prevail

THE RESPONSE OF THE LORD

1. I will arise   (Isaiah 33:10)

2. I will be exalted   (Isaiah 33:10)

3. I will lift Myself up   (Isaiah 33:10)

REJOICING OF THE RIGHTEOUS

1. The LORD is our Judge   (Isaiah 33:22)

2. The LORD is our Lawgiver   (Isaiah 33:22)

3. The LORD is our King   (Isaiah 33:22)

4. He will save us   (Isaiah 33:22)
