“THE LORD OUR RIGHTEOUSNESS”
(I) THE NAME OF THE LORD
He is known by many precious titles/names
1. The God of Israel (Jeremiah 33:4)
2. The LORD of hosts (Jeremiah 33:11)
3. The LORD (Jeremiah 3314)
4. The LORD OUR RIGHTEOUSNESS (Jeremiah 33:16)
(II) THE NEW NAME OF JERUSALEM
1. The new name of Jerusalem
“THE LORD OUR REIGHTEOUSNESS” Jeremiah 33:16
2. The significance of this new name
a) The old name is now obsolete
b) The new name signals a number of changes
i) A Branch of Righteousness will grow up to David
ii) He will be the Messianic Ruler
iii) A new order will commence
iv) The Millennial Kingdom will be established
(III) THE CONTEXT OF THE NEW COVENANT
