INTRODUCTION

1. The Will of God

a) It is all-encompassing
b) It is deep and profound
c) It is also personal and practical

2. What would hinder us from fulfilling the Will of God

a) Sin
b) Self
c) Satan
d) The world

THE THINGS THAT CAN THREATEN A SIGNIFICANT LIFE OF FAITH

1. The problem of sin

a) Trespasses   (Galatians 6:1)
b) They can overtake us
i) Overwhelm
ii) Overcome

2. The problem of burdens of life   (Galatians 6:2a)

a) Work
b) Worries

3. Over-rating ourselves   (Galatians 6:3)

a) Deception
b) Delusion

HELP TO BE RENDERED

1. The spiritual must help the weak   (Galatians 6:1)

a) By restoration
b) In a spirit of gentleness
c) In humility, lest we fall from grace too

2. To bear one another’s burdens

In this, we fulfil the law of Christ   (Galatians 6:2)

3. Encouragement to sow well

a) To sow in the Spirit
b) To reap everlasting life   (Galatians 6:8)

4. Finding grace and strength

a) Not to grow weary while doing good   (Galatians 6:9a)
b) Not to lose heart   (Galatians 6:9b)
c) To do good to all   (Galatians 6:10a)
d) To those of the household of faith   (Galatians 6:10b)

THE THEOLOGY OF BEING CRUCIFIED WITH CHRIST

1. Dead to the law   (Galatians 2:19)

2. Crucified with Christ   (Galatians 2:20)

a) With reference to Theology
b) With reference to Salvation
c) With reference to personal life

WARNING ABOUT SUBSCRIBING TO THE WORLD

1. A good showing

“As many as desire to make a good showing in the flesh”   Galatians 6:12a

2. That they may not suffer persecution

“These would compel you to be circumcised
Only that they may not suffer persecution
For the cross of Christ”   Galatians 6:12b

3. That they may boast in the flesh

“For not even those who are circumcised keep the law,
But they desire to have you circumcised
That they may boast in your flesh”   Galatians 6:13

PERSONAL PRINCIPLE I
“THE WORLD HAS BEEN CRUCIFIED TO ME”

1. No personal boasting   (Galatians 6:14a)

2. If there is any boasting it is in Christ  (Galatians 6:14b)

3. “The world has been crucified to me”   (Galatians 6:14c)

4. Meaning:

a) The world and all its accolades are dead
b) The world and all its rules and lures are also dead
c) There is nothing in the world that is alluring anymore

PERSONAL PRINCIPLE II
“AND I TO THE WORLD”

1. By choice

2. By identification

3. By faith

4. By understanding and applying the Will of God

CONCLUSION
