FOREORDAINED BEFORE THE FOUNDATION OF THE WORLD

CHRISTMAS IS TO BE WONDERFULLY REMEMBERED
Christmas is to be wonderfully celebrated in every way! The Advent of the Lord Jesus did not just happen!
18 Knowing that you were not redeemed with corruptible things, like silver or gold, from your aimless conduct received by tradition from your fathers,
19 but with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot.
20 He indeed was foreordained before the foundation of the world, but was manifest in these last times for you
21 who through Him believe in God, who raised Him from the dead and gave Him glory, so that your faith and hope are in God. 1 Peter 1:18-21
WHAT DO WE CELEBRATE?
This epistle written by the Apostle Peter highlights the following wonderful truths!
- The Redemption plan of God
a) The word “redemption” is another word for salvation
b) No amount of silver or gold would purchase our justification
- The Redeemer
a) He is the Lord Jesus Christ
b) He is the Lamb of God
i) Without blemish
ii) Without spot
- The Redemptive Plan
a) This was planned by God
b) Before the foundation of the world
MADE MANIFEST
We celebrate not just the birth of our Saviour. We celebrate God’s manifestation of His plan of salvation in the Lord Jesus
APPROPRIATE RESPONSE
How should we respond to the Lord God in His revealed plan of redemption?
- Let us hold fast to our belief in God
- Let us continue to revel in our faith and hope in God
Let us be very certain of our faith in God. Let us conclude 2021 with a strong affirmation of our faith in a great and wonderful God!
