HE WHO HAS BEGUN A GOOD WORK
Text: Philippians 1:6

THE ESTABLISHING OF A CHURCH
The establishing of a true church of the Lord Jesus Christ would always have the following features:
- A strong foundation
a) That foundation is the Lord Jesus Christ Himself Ephesians 2:20
b) His apostles would lay that foundation Ephesians 2:20
- The Lord’s personal involvement
a) He will build the Church personally Matthew 16:18
b) He will add to the Church those He is saving Acts 2:47
- The Involvement of both leaders and members
a) The leaders were actively involved:
i) Witnessing
ii) Preaching/ Teaching
iii) Evangelizing
iv) Praying
v) Ministering to many
b) The church members
i) Learning well
ii) Fellowshipping
iii) Praying together
iv) Being baptized
v) Growing in faith
THE GOOD WORK THAT GOD HAS BEGUN
The Apostle noted the work that God had begun in the Philippian Church and he commented:
Being confident of this very thing,
That He who has begun a good work in you
Will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ. Philippians 1:6
- Being Confident
a) Let us find this sense of confidence
b) It will not be in vain
c) Gold has surely begun a good work in many hearts in Bethany
- Completing of this work
a) It was God who began this work
b) This same wonderful God will also complete it
c) He will continue to work in us until the Lord Jesus returns
Let us pursue the Call of God to be His kind of Church. God continues to touch hearts and lives. May we respond by caring for each other faithfully!
