SEEK MERCIES FROM THE GOD OF HEAVEN

Text: Daniel 2
2 September 2018

A GOOD EXAMPLE OF SEEKING GOD

One very good and clear example of one who sought the Lord God was the Biblical Daniel. There is much to learn from his example.

Then Daniel went to his house,

And made the decision known to

Hananiah, Mishael and Azariah, his companions,

That they might seek the mercies of the God of heaven

Concerning this secret, so that Daniel and his companions

Might not perish with the rest of the wise men of Babylon.

Then the secret was revealed to Daniel in a bight vision.

So Daniel blessed the God of heaven.     Daniel 2:17-19

GOD’S GRACIOUS ANSWER

God heard the prayers of Daniel and His friends. He personally revealed the secret of Nebuchadnezzar’s dream. Daniel and his friends would be spared from execution. Many lives were saved consequently. Daniel appropriately blessed the Lord for His gracious answer.

OUR CHALLENGE TO SEEK GOD

Let us be challenged to see God in prayer as we commence our 46th year of Ministry at Bethany.

  1. Let us seek the Lord’s face
  1. Let us seek His mercy and grace
  1. Let us seek His leading as a Church

Let us find the faith and the courage to follow through with the Lord’s leading for the year ahead! Let us be greatly encouraged.

Now thanks be to God who always leads us

In triumph in Christ, and through us

Diffuses the fragrance of His knowledge in every place.     2 Corinthians 2:14
