THE FATHER LOVES THE SON

SPECIAL LESSONS ABOUT RELATIONSHIP
The Lord Jesus Christ taught His disciples about how He related to His Heavenly Father. These are some of the lessons that stand out.
“My Father has been working until now,
And I have been working.” John 5:17
“Most assuredly, I say to you, the Son can do nothing Himself,
But what He sees the Father do, for whatever He does,
The Son does in like manner.
The Father loves the Son, and shows Him all things
That He Himself does; and He will show Him greater works
Than these, that you may marvel.” John 5:19-20
1. Closeness of Relationship
a) There is no question about the closeness of the relationship between Father and Son
b) This relationship was truly exemplary!
c) This is something the Father desires too in our relationship with Him!
2. Consistency of Relationship
a) Jesus maintained a consistency of relationship with His Father
b) This stands to reason for an inconsistent relationship is nothing to rave about
c) We need to really think hard about how we can develop consistency in our relationship with God
3. Concrete expressions
a) Jesus demonstrated the significance of His relationship with His Father in His works
b) He declared that His works were performed only as He saw His Father working
c) He drew constant inspiration to serve from His beloved Father
d) This is how it should be! Let us re-examine what motivates us in our life! Does our relationship with God inspire us in any way?
IMPROVING OUR RELATIONSHIP WITH GOD
Let us remember the lessons learned at the Family Camp!
1. Let us Return to God
If we have strayed or backslided, let us return to the Lord as soon as possible.
2. Let us find Renewal
Let us ask the Lord to give us a new and revitalized heart!
3. Let us Re-affirm our Pledge to God
Let us honour the promises that we have made to the Lord! May every promise be fulfilled!
