THE WONDROUS WORKS OF GOD
The wondrous of God were carefully recorded in the Scriptures. Those who take pleasure in them take time to study them carefully (Psalm 111:2).
SIGNIFICANCE OF THE WONDROUS WORKS OF GOD
One significance was highlighted in the following text.
We give thanks to You, O God, we give thanks!
For Your wondrous works declare that Your name is near.
Psalm 75:1
1. God’s works
a) They are indeed full of wonder
b) They display the following features:-
i) Divine glory
ii) Divine power
iii) Divine purpose
2. God’s wondrous works also highlight the following important truths
a) God’s name is associated with His works
i) His name represents the Lord Himself
ii) To speak of God’s name is to speak of the Lord Himself
b) God’s name is near
i) We may draw great encouragement from this truth
ii) God is near to us
iii) He is nearer than we think
iv) We should not give in to doubts and fears
APPROPRIATE RESPONSE
Let us consider the following appropriate response to this truth.
1. Let us give thanks to the Lord
a) That He is near to us
b) That He will look after us
c) That He would perform wondrous works for us
2. Let us determine to praise God always
a) Let us declare our faith in God
b) Let us seek to be dynamic in our approach to faith and life
