THE WORKS OF GOD
We have an interesting text written by King David concerning the works of God.

Because they do not regard the works of the LORD,
Nor the operation of His hands,
He shall destroy them and not build them up.     Psalm 28:5

THE WICKED AND THEIR DEEDS

a) The works of God may indeed be called “the operation of His hands”

b) God is personally involved in His works

3. The concern of the wicked

a) They are interested only in their own wicked deeds

b) Their focus is on their own endeavours       Psalm 28:4

4. God’s response to the wicked

a) He will certainly not build them up

b) He will destroy the wicked        Psalm 28:5

THE RIGHTEOUS

The righteous stand as a stark contrast to the wicked. David outlines what the righteous may do amidst a sea of wicked activities.

1. Hold fast to the Rock of our salvation      Psalm 28:1

2. Cry out to the Lord in times of difficulties       Psalm 28:2

3. Believe in the Lord that He would hear our prayers

4. Rejoice in the Lord

Blessed be the LORD,
Because He has heard the voice of my supplications!

The LORD is my strength and my shield;
My heart trusted in Him, and I am helped;
Therefore my heart greatly rejoices,
And with my song I will praise Him.     Psalm 28:6-7
