Day 141

"His feet will stand on the Mount of Olives"

Text: Zechariah 14:4

A VERY SPECIAL DELIVERANCE

The description of the aftermath of war seemed typical. There was a special element in this prophecy that must be noted.

“Then the LORD will go forth
And fight against those nations,
As He fights in the day of battle.
And in that day His feet will stand on the Mount of Olives,
Which faces Jerusalem on the east.
And the Mount of Olives shall be split in two,
From east to west,
Making a very large valley;
Half of the mountain shall move toward the north
And half of it toward the south.”
Zechariah 14:3-4

1. “The LORD will go forth”

b) He would fight in the day of battle.
c) The remnant finds assurance and comfort in this prophecy.

2. The Mount of Olives

a) This mountain faced Jerusalem on the east.
b) This is a description of the Messiah returning.
c) His feet will stand on the Mount of Olives.

3. Huge geographical changes

a) This is nothing short of a miracle.
b) It would take divine power to bring this to pass.
i) Mount of Olives would be split into two.
ii) This split would be from east to west.
iii) A huge valley would be created.
iv) Mountain ranges in this area would be drastically changed.

This Day of the LORD prophecy is arguably the most difficult one to fully comprehend!
