"How beautiful are the feet of those who preach the gospel of peace..."

Text: Romans 10:15

THE MINISTRY OF PREACHING THE GOSPEL

The ministry of preaching the Gospel may be traced all the way back to the Old Testament Scripture. The text Paul cited was taken from Isaiah.

“As it is written,
‘How beautiful are the feet of those who preach
the gospel of peace, who bring glad tidings of good things!'”
Romans 10:15

1. As it is written

a) Carefulness shown in citing the Scriptures.
b) Consistency shown in citing the Scriptures.

2. “How beautiful are the feet of those who preach the gospel”

a) Lifting up the glorious nature of the preaching ministry.
i) It is a God-blessed ministry.
ii) It is a God-appointed ministry.
iii) It is a noble and ancient ministry (dating back to the prophets).
b) A special word of encouragement.
i) To all already engaged in preaching the Gospel.
ii) To encourage people to enter into the ministry of preaching the Gospel.

3. The contents to be preached

a) The Gospel (literally “good news”)
b) The Gospel of peace
i) Peace with God.
ii) Peace among mankind is also possible if only people live out their faith.
c) Glad tidings of good things

The Gospel is an all-rounded Message of “good things” from God!
