Day 62 – Psalm 8

“You have made him to have dominion…” Psalm 8:6a

THE GLORY AND HONOUR OF MAN

Man may be insignificant when compared to the celestial lights like the moon and the stars! He is certainly less significant in stature and power than the mighty angels of God! However, man has been given glory and honour by God too. This is well expressed in the text below!

“You have made him to have dominion over
the works of Your hands;
You have put all things under his feet,
All sheep and oxen- even the beasts of the field,
The birds of the air, and the fish of the sea
That pass through the paths of the seas,
O LORD, our Lord,
How excellent is Your name in all the earth!”
Psalm 8:6-9
