There is no mistaking the sense of urgency felt by David as he breathed this prayer to God.

“Make haste, O God, to deliver me!
Make haste to help me, O LORD!”

1. Make haste

a) This is a plea to God not to delay answering prayer.
b) This plea reflects a number of things:-
i) A sense of desperation
ii) A sense of anxiety
iii) A sense of perplexity (because of a perceived delay of Divine help)

2. Urgent needs brought to the Lord in prayer

a) Seeking Deliverance from God.
b) Seeking Divine help from the LORD.
c) Seeking Divine help urgently because personal needs are greatly felt.
