“Blessed be the LORD, Who daily loads us with benefits…” Psalm 68:19a

APPROPRIATE RESPONSE

The psalmist David was correct to pause in his reflection to give an appropriate response to the Lord.

“Blessed be the Lord,
Who daily loads us with benefits,
The God of our salvation!
Our God is the God of salvation;
And to God the Lord belong escapes from death.”
Psalm 68:19-20

1. “Blessed be the Lord”

a) Blessing the Lord is an appropriate response.

b) The word “bless” must be accompanied by:-

i) Gratitude

ii) Thanksgiving

iii) Love

2. With a deep sense of adoration of God for who He is

a) He is indeed the God of salvation.

b) He is God the Lord.

3. With a deep sense of appreciation for what He does for us

a) He takes cares of us daily.

b) He sees to all our needs.

c) His blessings bring such great benefits to our life.

d) One special blessing highlighted:-

i) Escape from death.

ii) Only God can bring about miraculous deliverance from death.
