A WELCOME CHANGE

Psalm 45 is a very welcome change from the dark mood found in Psalm 44!

“My heart is overflowing with a good theme;
I recite my composition concerning the King;
My tongue is the pen of a ready writer.”
Psalm 45:1

This text offers us a rare insight as to how the authors composed their psalms.

1. A good theme comes to mind: “The King”.

2. The heart overflows with good thoughts about the chosen theme.

3. There must be skill in the writing of psalms (poetry/ music).

4. There must also be readiness to recite the composition in a public atmosphere.
