3. Self-righteousness

A SHORT REVIEW OF ISRAEL’S HISTORY

At which period of time can Israel be said to have walked in God’s ways faithfully?

1. Not even in the days when Moses led the people from Egypt to Canaan.

2. Certainly not in the days of Joshua when he conquered the land of Canaan.

3. The grim reality was that Israel constantly sinned against God and refused to obey His commandments.

4. Israel was spared from total destruction on the basis of strong intercessory prayers of people like Moses and the prophets.
