“Mark the blameless man, and observe the upright…” Psalm 37:37
OBSERVATIONS OF LIFE
David was an astute observer of the wicked and the righteous. The following describe his observations.
THE WICKED
The wicked are described in the following text.
“I have seen the wicked in great power,
And spreading himself like a native green tree.
Yet he passed away, and behold, he was no more;
Indeed I sought him, but he could not be found.”
Psalm 37:35-36
1. “The wicked in great power”
a) This is possible.
b) His power seems to spread.
2. The fate of the wicked
a) He will pass away.
b) His great power will pass away with him.
THE RIGHTEOUS
The righteous is described alongside the wicked.
“Mark the blameless man, and observe the upright;
For the future of that man is peace.
But the transgressors shall be destroyed together;
The future of the wicked shall be cut off.”
