“I will instruct you and teach you…” Psalm 32:8a

GOD’S INVOLVEMENT IN OUR LIFE

How wonderful it is to contemplate the involvement of God in our life! The following text should bring a great sense of exhilaration to the heart.

“I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go;
I will guide you with My eye.
Do not be like the horse or like the mule,
Which have no understanding,
Which must be harnessed with bit and bridle,
Else they will not come near you.”
Psalm 32:8-9

1. “I will instruct you and teach you”

a) What a glorious promise!

b) This promise is to everyone who is godly.

2. “I will guide you with My eye”

a) Deep personal involvement is promised.

b) God offers a rich and rewarding relationship to the godly.

3. “In the way you should go”

a) Human tendency

i) To go his own way

ii) To choose wrong and sinful paths

b) Divine guidance

i) To walk in God’s ways

ii) God will personally guide everyone who wishes His help

4. “Do not be like the horse or like the mule”

a) These are animals that have no understanding and they can only be trained to obey by means of bit and bridle.

b) The human being, made in God’s image, should fare better.
