HOW GOD REGARDS HIS OWN WORD

The following text brings great cheer to the heart! It reveals a significant insight as to how God regards His own word.

“You shall keep them, O LORD,
You shall preserve them from this generation forever.
The wicked prowl on every side,
When vileness is exalted among the sons of men.”
Psalm 12:7-8

1. Belief of the psalmist David

a) This great belief may well be drawn from:-
i) Revelation from God Himself.
ii) It is certainly proven in real life.
b) The content of this belief
i) God will keep every promise He has given (Psalm 12:5).
ii) He will always preserve His Word of promise.

2. Resistance from enemies

a) The wicked will not yield in his evil bent.
i) He is compared to a predator who prowls.
ii) He will try and find ways and means to attack the helpless poor.
iii) He will also attempt to find ways and means to get around God’s word.
b) The wicked will also continue in his nefarious activities.
i) He will exalt vileness.
ii) He will spread his evil among the sons of men.
iii) But he will never be able to prevail against God and His word.
