Day 73 – Psalm 10

“The wicked…” Psalm 10:2a

DEEPLY DISTRESSED ABOUT THE WICKED

The psalmist was obviously deeply distressed as he thought about the wicked and their evil deeds. He could not bring his concerns to the Lord in prayer.

THE PRIDE OF THE WICKED

The first thing that disturbed the psalmist was the pride that the wicked possessed.

“The wicked in his pride persecutes the poor;
Let them be caught in the plots which they have devised.

For the wicked boasts of his heart’s desire;
He blesses the greedy and renounces the LORD.

The wicked in his proud countenance does not seek God;
God is in none of his thoughts.”
Psalm 10:2-4
