Day 13

"Then your mighty men, O Teman, shall be dismayed"

Text: Obadiah 9

THE WISE MEN OF EDOM

The Lord would destroy the wise men of Edom. They would not be able to give further wicked advice to the kings of Edom. But the wise men of Israel were not mighty soldiers. The Lord would have to deal with another strong component of Edom… the army.

THE MIGHTY MEN OF EDOM

The might and strength of countries depended on the kind of army they had. The Lord would also need to deal with the army of Edom. The strong army of Edom would no longer be able to spread their terror to other weaker nations.

“Then your mighty men, O Teman, shall be dismayed,
To the end that everyone from the mountains of Esau
May be cut off by slaughter.”
