Further Testimony of John the Baptiser
Text: John 3: 31-33
“He who comes from above is above all; he who is of the earth is earthly and speaks of the earth. He who comes from heaven is above all. And what He has seen and heard, that He testifies; and no one receives His testimony. He who has received His testimony has certified that God is true.”
John 3:31-33
FURTHER TESTIMONY OF JOHN THE BAPTISER
1. John continued to teach his disciples vital truths about the Lord Jesus Christ!
2. He proved to be a significant servant of God, faithful and true to the task that he had been given.
THE IDENTITY OF THE LORD JESUS CHRIST
1. He came from heaven.
2. Thus, He is above all.
IN DIRECT CONTRAST
1. John is from the earth.
2. He can only speak of things of the earth.
3. Jesus is thus greater than John.
4. Jesus has been given greater success than John.
5. This is as it should be!
THE MINISTRY OF THE LORD JESUS CHRIST
1. He hears and He sees things revealed by God.
2. The teachings of Jesus come directly from God Himself.
REJECTION OF THE MINISTRY OF JESUS
1. Sadly, there will be some who will reject the teachings of Jesus.
2. They will not believe His testimony.
3. These walk in darkness.
4. They will not come to the Light that Jesus offers.
THOSE WHO COME TO THE LORD JESUS CHRIST
1. They will receive His word.
2. They will certify that Jesus is indeed the Light of the world.
3. They will bear testimony that God is true! Jesus will help people know and believe in God!

“从天上来的，是在万有之上。从地上来的，是属乎地，他所说的也是属乎地。从天上来的是在万有之上。他将所见所闻的见证出来，只是没有人领受他的见证。那领受他见证的，就印上印，证明神是真的。”
