Text: Genesis 6: 13-17
MEDITATION
Genesis 6:13-17
13 And God said to Noah, “The end of all flesh has come before Me, for the earth is filled with violence through them; and behold, I will destroy them with the earth.
14 Make yourself an ark of gopherwood; make rooms in the ark, and cover it inside and outside with pitch.
15 And this is how you shall make it: The length of the ark shall be three hundred cubits, its width fifty cubits, and its height thirty cubits.
16 You shall make a window for the ark, and you shall finish it to a cubit from above; and set the door of the ark in its side. You shall make it with lower, second, and third decks.
17 And behold, I Myself am bringing floodwaters on the earth, to destroy from under heaven all flesh in which is the breath of life; everything that is on the earth shall die.
MEANINGFUL APPLICATION TO LIFE
1. God’s word to Noah
a. He revealed to Noah His judgment on the earth.
b. Three things were said to him:
i. The end of all corrupt flesh had come.
ii. The earth was filled with great violence.
iii. God would destroy the wicked on the surface of the earth.
2. Command to make an ark
a. Instructions were given to Noah.
b. This would be a huge ark with three levels.
c. This would be a very huge project to attempt.
3. A great flood
a. God Himself would bring a great flood on the earth.
b. This would result in the destruction of all flesh.
c. Everything that was corrupt would perish in this judgment of the Lord.
DIVINE JUSTICE
1. God reserves the right to judge the wicked.
2. This must teach us to fear the Lord.
3. The challenge is to learn how to walk with God as Enoch and Noah did so faithfully.

13神就对挪亚说：“凡有血气的人，他的尽头已经来到我面前, 因为地上满了他们的强暴。我要把他们和地一并毁灭。
14你要用歌斐木造一只方舟，分一间一间地造，里外抹上松香。
15方舟的造法乃是这样：要长三百肘，宽五十肘，高三十肘。
16方舟上边要留透光处，高一肘。方舟的门要开在旁边。方舟要分上、中、下三层。17看哪，我要使洪水泛滥在地上，毁灭天下, 凡地上有血肉、有气息的活物，无一不死。
