Text: Genesis 49: 27-28
MEDITATION
Genesis 49:27-28
27 “Benjamin is a ravenous wolf;
In the morning he shall devour the prey,
And at night he shall divide the spoil.”
28 All these are the twelve tribes of Israel, and this is what their father spoke to them. And he blessed them; he blessed each one according to his own blessing.
MEANINGFUL APPLICATION TO LIFE
1. Benjamin
a. He was the youngest son.
b. His mother was Rachel who died giving birth to Benjamin.
2. Description
a. He was compared to a wolf.
b. Morning and night activities:
i. Like the wolf he is a predator.
ii. He would always be hungry hunting.
c. Though he was the last and the youngest son, Jacob saw weaknesses in him. This was a forewarning.
3. Blessings of Jacob
a. There was a blessing to each of his children.
b. The blessings however differed vastly.
VITAL TRUTHS ABOUT BLESSINGS
1. Blessings are tied in to our character
a. Where it is good and strong.
b. Blessing will flow.
2. But when the character is flawed, blessings may be affected adversely. Words of forewarning are important to heed!

27便雅悯是个撕掠的狼,早晨要吃他所抓的,晚上要分他所夺的。”28这一切是以色列的十二支派。这也是他们的父亲对他们所说的话,为他们所祝的福,都是按着各人的福分为他们祝福。
