Text: Genesis 1: 20-23; Psalm 104: 24-25
MEDITATION
Genesis 1:20-23
20 Then God said, “Let the waters abound with an abundance of living creatures, and let birds fly above the earth across the face of the firmament of the heavens.”
21 So God created great sea creatures and every living thing that moves, with which the waters abounded, according to their kind, and every winged bird according to its kind. And God saw that it was good.
22 And God blessed them, saying, “Be fruitful and multiply, and fill the waters in the seas, and let birds multiply on the earth.”
23 So the evening and the morning were the fifth day.
Psalm 104:24-25
24 O LORD, how manifold are Your works! In wisdom You have made them all. The earth is full of Your possessions—
25 This great and wide sea, In which are innumerable teeming things, Living things both small and great.
MEANINGFUL APPLICATION TO LIFE
1. The blessing of God is stated in these words- “Be fruitful and multiply”
a. Being fruitful must not be taken for granted.
b. Fruitfulness must always remind us of the LORD’s blessings.
2. This blessing is both wonderful and necessary
a. These would become part of the food-chain to sustain life on earth.
b. This blessing wonderfully displays the abundant mercy of God.
3. The Psalmist (Psalm 104)
a. He stands in awe of the manifold works of the LORD.
b. In great wisdom God had made all things.
c. The earth is full of the Lord’s possessions.
APPROPRIATE RESPONSE
1. To bless the LORD (Psalm 104:1a).
2. To have the highest regard for the greatness, honour, and majesty of God (Psalm 104:1b).
3. May we always offer heartfelt and humble worship to our great wonderful Creator-God!

20 神说：“水要多多滋生有生命的物，要有雀鸟飞在地面以上、天空之中。”
21 神就造出大鱼和水中所滋生各样有生命的动物，各从其类；又造出各样飞鸟，各从其类。神看着是好的。
22 神就赐福给这一切，说：“滋生繁多，充满海中的水，雀鸟也要多生在地上。”23 有晚上，有早晨，是第五日。
《诗篇 104：24-25》
24 耶和华啊，你所造的何其多！都是你用智慧造成的，遍地满了你的丰富。25 那里有海，又大又广，其中有无数的动物，大小活物都有。
