MEDITATION
Exodus 4:13-14
13 But he said, “O my Lord, please send by the hand of whomever else You may send.”
14 So the anger of the LORD was kindled against Moses, and He said: “Is not Aaron the Levite your brother? I know that he can speak well. And look, he is also coming out to meet you. When he sees you, he will be glad in his heart.
MEANINGFUL APPLICATION TO LIFE
1. The questions and doubts of Moses
a. These were openly brought to the Lord.
i. Concern about the Pharaoh’s opposition.
ii. Concern about the children of Israel not believing in him.
iii. Concern about personal inadequacy.
b. For every question:
i. God had given a full answer.
ii. He had even shown Moses two special signs (his rod and his hand..
2. The reluctance of Moses
a. He did not want to obey God.
b. He asked God to send somebody else.
3. The anger of God
a. God had to show that He was getting angry with Moses.
Moses must know that he was speaking to the LORD. He is to be obeyed!
b. Graciously, He offered Aaron to be with him.
c. Aaron was the elder brother of Moses.
i. He was a good speaker.
ii. He would be glad to see Moses and to assist him in this great work.
