Text: Exodus 34: 23-24
MEDITATION
Exodus 34:23-24
23 “Three times in the year all your men shall appear before the Lord, the LORD God of Israel.
24 For I will cast out the nations before you and enlarge your borders; neither will any man covet your land when you go up to appear before the LORD your God three times in the year.
MEANINGFUL APPLICATION TO LIFE
1. Three special Feasts
a. The Passover (Tied to the Feast of the Unleavened Bread.
b. The Feast of Pentecost (Also called “Feast of Firstfruits”)
c. The Feast of the Tabernacles (Also called “The Feast of Ingathering)
2. These Feasts would be celebrated
a. In Jerusalem.
b. These teachings were given way ahead of the time when Jerusalem would house the Temple of the LORD.
c. These Feasts would be held to commemorate important truths and events.
i. Passover
This celebrates the time when God delivered Israel out of Egypt.
ii. Pentecost/ Firstfruits
This celebrates the Promise of God to give a good and full harvest.
iii. Tabernacles/ Ingathering
To celebrate the full harvest as well as the time when Israel lived in tents (tabernacles).
3. A mighty promise of God’s provision
a. He will cast out the nations in Canaan.
b. He will enlarge Israel’s borders.
4. A wonderful promise of God’s protection
a. No one will covet their properties when Israel took time out to worship God.
b. He will protect His people from wicked covetous enemies.

23 你们一切男丁要一年三次朝见主耶和华以色列的神。
24 我要从你面前赶出外邦人，扩张你的境界。你一年三次上去朝见耶和华你神的时候，必没有人贪慕你的地土。
