Text: Exodus 31: 1-5
MEDITATION
Exodus 31:1-5
1 Then the LORD spoke to Moses, saying:
2 “See, I have called by name Bezalel the son of Uri, the son of Hur, of the tribe of Judah.
3 And I have filled him with the Spirit of God, in wisdom, in understanding, in knowledge, and in all manner of workmanship,
4 to design artistic works, to work in gold, in silver, in bronze,
5 in cutting jewels for setting, in carving wood, and to work in all manner of workmanship.
MEANINGFUL APPLICATION TO LIFE
1. Divine Appointment of a master-artisan
a. Bezalel was personally called and appointed by God.
b. He was from the tribe of Judah.
c. He was not a priest or a Levite.
2. God’s blessings given
a. He will be filled with the Spirit of God firstly.
b. He will be exceptionally gifted:
i. In wisdom
ii. In understanding
iii. In knowledge
iv. In all manner of workmanship
3. A list of things Bezalel would be able to do
a. To design artistic works.
b. To work in gold, silver and bronze.
c. To work in the cutting of jewels.
d. To work with wood carvings.
4. It would take exceptional giftedness to be able to be a master at all of the above disciplines! The Spirit of God would have to help him much indeed!

1 耶和华晓谕摩西说：
2 “看哪，犹大支派中，户珥的孙子、乌利的儿子比撒列，我已经提他的名召他。
3 我也以我的灵充满了他，使他有智慧，有聪明，有知识，能做各样的工，
4 能想出巧工，用金、银、铜制造各物，5 又能刻宝石，可以镶嵌，能雕刻木头，能做各样的工。
