Text: Exodus 29: 15-18
MEDITATION
Exodus 29:15-18
15 “You shall also take one ram, and Aaron and his sons shall put their hands on the head of the ram;
16 and you shall kill the ram, and you shall take its blood and sprinkle it all around on the altar.
17 Then you shall cut the ram in pieces, wash its entrails and its legs, and put them with its pieces and with its head.
18 And you shall burn the whole ram on the altar. It is a burnt offering to the LORD; it is a sweet aroma, an offering made by fire to the LORD.
MEANINGFUL APPLICATION TO LIFE
1. The second sacrifice: The killing of the first ram.
2. Laying on of hands by Aaron and his four sons.
To symbolize identification with the ram.
3. The blood of the ram was to be sprinkled on the altar.
To sanctify the altar.
4. The ram was to be cut up carefully.
5. It is to be offered up whole as a burnt offering sacrifice to the LORD.
a. It is “a sweet aroma” to the Lord.
b. It is an offering made by fire.
IMPORTANT LESSONS
1. A burnt offering symbolizes
a. Total commitment
b. Absolute consecration
2. Every part of the human being (the priest) must be dedicated to the Lord:
a. The heart
b. The mind
c. The spirit
d. The body
Serving God demands giving of ourselves fully to His ministry!

15 “你要牵一只公绵羊来,亚伦和他儿子要按手在这羊的头上。
16 要宰这羊,把血洒在坛的周围。
17 要把羊切成块子,洗净五脏和腿,连块子带头,都放在一处。18 要把全羊烧在坛上,是给耶和华献的燔祭,是献给耶和华为馨香的火祭。”
