Text: Exodus 28: 15-21
MEDITATION
Exodus 28:15-21
15 “You shall make the breastplate of judgment. Artistically woven according to the workmanship of the ephod you shall make it: of gold, blue, purple, and scarlet thread, and fine woven linen, you shall make it.
16 It shall be doubled into a square: a span shall be its length, and a span shall be its width.
17 And you shall put settings of stones in it, four rows of stones: The first row shall be a sardius, a topaz, and an emerald; this shall be the first row;
18 the second row shall be a turquoise, a sapphire, and a diamond;
19 the third row, a jacinth, an agate, and an amethyst;
20 and the fourth row, a beryl, an onyx, and a jasper. They shall be set in gold settings.
21 And the stones shall have the names of the sons of Israel, twelve according to their names, like the engravings of a signet, each one with its own name; they shall be according to the twelve tribes.
MEANINGFUL APPLICATION TO LIFE
1. The breastplate of Judgment
a. It is to be “artistically woven”.
b. High workmanship is required.
2. The setting of stones
a. Four rows of semi-precious stones.
b. Each row would be made up of three gems.
3. The names of all the tribes of Israel
a. They would be inscribed upon these stones.
b. Their names would appear in their order of birth.
c. There would be twelve names on the twelve stones.
4. What the breastplate represents
a. One breastplate, representing Israel as one nation.
b. Individual tribe named to say that each and every tribe is important.
c. The high priest must wear this breastplate when he enters into the Most Holy Place to pray for the nation.
The names of the tribes that make up Israel would be presented to the Lord!

15“你要用巧匠的手工做一个决断的胸牌。要和以弗得一样的做法，用金线和蓝色、紫色、朱红色线并捻的细麻做成。
16这胸牌要四方的，叠为两层，长一虎口，宽一虎口。
17要在上面镶宝石四行：第一行是红宝石、红璧玺、红玉，
18第二行是绿宝石、蓝宝石、金钢石，
19第三行是紫玛瑙、白玛瑙、紫晶，
20第四行是水苍玉、红玛瑙、碧玉。这都要镶在金槽中。
21这些宝石都要按着以色列十二个儿子的名字，仿佛刻图书，刻十二个支派的名字。
在生活里有意义地应用
1. 决断的胸牌
a. 这一定得要富有艺术性的编结
b. 需要巧匠高素质的手工
2. 宝石的摆设
a. 四行的宝石
b. 每一行会有三块玉珠
3. 以色列支派的名字
a. 这些名字会被刻在宝石上
b. 名字会按照生来的次序
c. 十二个名字会在十二块宝石上
4. 胸牌的含义
a. 一个胸牌代表以色列为一国
b. 每个支派的名字都被立下代表每个支派都重要
c. 大祭司进入至圣所为国祈祷时一定要穿上这胸牌
组成以色列国的支派的名字会被献给上帝！
