MEDITATION
Exodus 27:20-21
20 “And you shall command the children of Israel that they bring you pure oil of pressed olives for the light, to cause the lamp to burn continually.
21 In the tabernacle of meeting, outside the veil which is before the Testimony, Aaron and his sons shall tend it from evening until morning before the LORD. It shall be a statute forever to their generations on behalf of the children of Israel
MEANINGFUL APPLICATION TO LIFE
1. Involvement of the children of Israel
a. They were to bring pure oil.
b. The oil was from olives.
c. The olives were to be pressed rather than beaten.
d. The Lamp was to burn continually.
2. In the Tabernacle
a. Outside the Veil
b. In the Holy Place
c. The Lampstand was to be placed.
3. The Priests
a. Aaron was the first high priest.
b. His sons were to be the attending priests.
c. They are to tend to the Lampstand (The Lamp) day and night (evening until morning).
4. This was to be a statute (a commandment)
a. A statute forever.
b. This was the sacred task of the priests.
c. They will do this task on behalf of the children of Israel.

20 “你要吩咐以色列人,把那为点灯捣成的清橄榄油拿来给你,使灯常常点着。21 在会幕中法柜前的幔外,亚伦和他的儿子,从晚上到早晨,要在耶和华面前经理这灯。这要做以色列人世世代代永远的定例。
