"Because he has done monstrous things"

Text: Joel 2:20

A TWO-FOLD RESPONSE FROM GOD

The Lord’s response to Israel was broadly speaking, twofold. The first word to Israel was that He would restore the nation. The second word was that He would destroy the enemy!

“But I will remove far from you the northern army,
And will drive him away into a barren and desolate land,
With his face toward the eastern sea
And his back toward the western sea;
His stench will come up,
And his foul odour will rise,
Because he has done monstrous things.”
Joel 2:20

c) The enemy would be driven by God every which way to show that their efforts are puny and futile.
