"The consuming locust"

Text: Joel 1:4

A DEADLY PLAGUE OF LOCUSTS

The LORD God sent a deadly plague of locusts against Pharaoh and Egypt (Exodus 10:1-20). The servants of Pharaoh were worried that Egypt would be destroyed if the plagues continued unabated.

A plague of locusts plagued Israel too and this was a lesson not to be forgotten easily.

“What the chewing locust left, the swarming locust has eaten;
What the swarming locust left, the crawling locust has eaten;
And what the crawling locust left, the consuming locust has eaten.”
