"The rulers also transgressed against Me"

Text: Jeremiah 2:8

THE FAULT OF THE LEADERS

Some are drawn to powerful leading positions of life. They imagine that therein would lie fame, fortune and power. But few realise that with positions entrusted, much is expected of them! They are to be held accountable! The leaders of ancient Israel were identified here.

“The priests did not say, ‘Where is the LORD?’
And those who handle the law did not know Me;
The rulers also transgressed against Me;
The prophets prophesied by Baal,
And walked after things that do not profit.”
Jeremiah 2:8
