"The Holy Spirit also witnesses to us..."
Text: Hebrews 10:15
TEACHINGS ABOUT THE HOLY SPIRIT
The Lord Jesus taught His disciples vital truths about the Person and the ministry of the Holy Spirit. The following may be highlighted:-
1. The Holy Spirit would be the “Helper” (paraclete) of all believers (Cf. John 14:16).
2. He would be the kind of Helper that Jesus was to the disciples “another Helper” (Cf. John 14:16).
3. He would be involved in the teaching of all believers (Cf. John 14:26).
4. He would be easily identifiable as “The Spirit of truth” (Cf. John 15:26).
5. He will testify or bear witness concerning Jesus (Cf. John 15:26).
6. He will convict the world of sin (Cf. John 16:8-11).
7. He will not speak of His own authority (Cf. John 16:13a).
8. He will reveal things to come (Cf. John 16:13b).
9. He will glorify Jesus (Cf. John 16:14)
THE HOLY SPIRIT AS WITNESS
The author of Hebrews wrote about the Holy Spirit as witness concerning the Lord Jesus to all believers.
“But the Holy Spirit also witnesses to us;
for after He had said before…”
