REVIEW: DOCTRINE OF THE SON OF GOD
Let us take time to review what the author of Hebrews has written about Jesus the Son of God. Let us seek to have a renewed sense of appreciation as to Who He is!
1. He is God’s Spokesman – Hebrews 1:2a
2. He is Heir of all things – Hebrews 1:2b
3. He is Co-creator – Hebrews 1:2c
4. He is the brightness of God’s glory – Hebrews 1:3a
5. He is the express image of God – Hebrews 1:3b
6. He upholds all creation – Hebrews 1:3c
7. He personally purged our sins – Hebrews 1:3d
8. He sits at the right hand of God – Hebrews 1:3e
9. He is greater than all the angels of God – Hebrews 1:4a
10. He has a more excellent name – Hebrews 1:4b
11. He is God’s Only Begotten Son – Hebrews 1:5
12. He is accorded the honor of the Firstborn – Hebrews 1:6a
13. He is to be worshipped even by angels – Hebrews 1:6b
14. He has been given an eternal throne – Hebrews 1:8a
15. He is to be regarded as God – Hebrews 1:8b
16. He is to be regarded as Lord – Hebrews 1:10
17. He is Immortal and Eternal in His being – Hebrews 1:11-12
18. He awaits the day when His enemies will be His footstool –Hebrews 1:13
Let us never allow ourselves to take our Saviour, the Lord Jesus for granted! Let us ever worship Him in awe and adoration!
